The Comedy Attic will be celebrating its 11th anniversary at 8 p.m Thursday with an event featuring comedian Ron Funches. All money received will be donated to Stepping Stones, a program of Centerstone.
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased on the Comedy Attic's website.
The Comedy Attic celebrates its anniversary every year with a benefit event for a local charity.
This year's charity is Stepping Stones, a Bloomington-based organization whose main goal is to provide support for young people experiencing homelessness. Services include transitional housing for those between 16 and 20 who are experiencing homelessness, emotional and financial counseling and job coaching.
With a focus on transitional housing and independent living, Stepping Stones helps those regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity, race, religion or disability.
The featured comedian, Ron Funches, is an actor, comedian and writer, making appearances on “Bob’s Burgers,” “New Girl” and “Conan.” He also has a one-hour comedy special on Comedy Central.
