The film “Ms. White Light," the second from the Bloomington production company Pigasus Pictures, will have its red carpet premiere Oct. 17 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Pigasus Pictures, founded by IU alumni Zachary Spicer and John Armstrong, aims to invigorate the film production community within Indiana.
“Ms. White Light” was initially screened at the SXSW convention earlier this March. According to its website, “Ms. White Light” follows Lex, a woman who counsels the terminally ill, as she tries to navigate an awkward love life and challenging clients.
The film stars Roberta Colindrez as Lex and Judith Light, who has won two Emmys and two Tonys, as Valerie, Lex’s most challenging client. In addition to the Oct. 17 premiere, “Ms. White Light” will be showing on Oct. 18, 19 and 20.
Spicer and Armstrong serve as the CEO and COO of Pigasus Pictures, respectively. Much of the upper management consists of IU alumni, including business manager Kaitlyn Smith, director of development Claire Tuft and executive director of investor relations Marie Forrestal.
