With IU men's basketball gearing up for the lone exhibition game in one week, the program announced Tuesday afternoon a new addition to the roster.
Michael Shipp, a freshman guard from Cincinnati, Ohio, will join the program as a walk-on. His addition gives IU 16 players on the roster. Shipp helped Archbishop Moeller High School make back-to-back state championships. He averaged 6.0 PPG, 2.0 RPG and 2.0 APG.
Freshman forward Nathan Childress, junior guard Cooper Bybee, junior guard Jacquez Henderson and senior guard Adrian Chapman are the other walk-ons with IU. Shipp is listed as six-foot-three-inches and 185 pounds on the official roster.
