A woman reportedly robbed a Bloomington westside Hardee's at gunpoint Sunday evening while wearing what Hardee's employees say looked like a masquerade ball mask.
Surveillance footage showed a female suspect, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans with holes and boots, hand a note to a Hardee's employee, Bloomington Police Department Capt. Ryan Pedigo said. The woman had a masquerade ball mask covering the top half of her face and a bandana covering the lower half. She was carrying a gun in her hand.
Pedigo said police were dispatched to Hardee's around 9 p.m. Sunday.
The employees told police the woman brought them to the front of the store and made them open the cash registers. The suspect allegedly took all of the money in the cash registers and safe.
The woman demanded a Hardee's bag from the employees to place the stolen money in, police said. However, the bag busted as she attempted to flee the store. Pedigo said police believe she then placed the money in her sweatshirt, but they are unsure.
The woman was last seen fleeing north on Third Street towards Arby's, Pedigo said. The investigation is active.
