IU residence hall move-outs approved during county's extended stay-at-home order

Residence hall move-out has been approved to continue after multiple cancellations, according to a Monday tweet from Residential Programs and Services.

RPS had to delay move-outs scheduled April 21 to 30 after Gov. Eric Holcomb extended the stay-at-home order through May 1.

Students need to schedule an appointment to return and move out. This is to limit crowd sizes and make the process manageable, according to the RPS website. Students have until 5 p.m. June 1 to pick up their belongings.

When students enter the scheduler, they can search a range of dates and select a time slot that is available.

If a student cannot come back to campus to pack, IU has two approved vendors who can pack and remove the belongings at the student's expense. The student is responsible for contacting and making arrangements with those vendors.

More information is available on the RPS website.
