The Maui Invitational won't be in Hawaii this season and will instead be played in Asheville, North Carolina, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
The tournament was supposed to be from Nov. 23 to 25, but with the NCAA’s announcement of a Nov. 25 start date for the college basketball season, it will now be played Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.
IU is one of eight teams in the tournament, alongside the University of North Carolina, University of Texas, University of Alabama, Providence College, Stanford University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Davidson College.
The tournament will be played in the Harrah’s Cherokee Center, which has a capacity of 7,674. It’s unknown if fans will be in attendance.
