A Bloomington Parks and Recreation employee tested positive for the coronavirus Monday, according to a press release from the City of Bloomington.

The employee was asymptomatic, and the last time they worked was Oct. 22. The employee is the second city Parks and Recreation employee to test positive, the first being an employee on April 3.

Employees who worked closely with the person have been notified. The COVID-19 positive employee did not interact with the public. Protocols were followed to disinfect equipment the employee used.

This is the 16th COVID-19 diagnosis among city workers.

A City of Bloomington firefighter tested positive Sunday. Last week a Bloomington Transit bus driver tested positive.
