The Bloomington Police Department is currently investigating a shooting west of Dunn Street and Varsity Lane, according to an IU-Notify email.
An email sent at 4 p.m. said people in the area should take shelter and those not in the area should stay away. A follow-up IU-Notify email sent at 4:29 p.m. said there was no longer a threat in the area.
Just after 4 p.m., police were investigating in the area of the Stadium Crossing apartment complex
One person was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Sgt. Shawn Hines told an Indiana Daily Student reporter at the scene.
Police are still investigating and gave no more information at this time.
Anyone with information should call 911, the email said.
