The word to define IU's game tonight is speed. It's been the key word for Miller and IU heading into the season and it's obvious why.

HALFTIME: IU finishes the half on a 28-2 run to lead 48-19 going into the break.
It's against lesser competition compared to what IU will face in Big Ten play, but the four freshman and Trayce Jackson-Davis lineup showcases the type of team Archie Miller is trying to build.

6:33: Trace Jackson-Davis starting to take over down low as he makes three straight layups causing Tennesee Tech to call timeout as IU is on an 11-0 run.
Rob Phinisee not finishing some of his layups, but looks much better getting to the rim compared to last season. He said Tuesday that driving and finishing was one of his focuses during the offeseason.
8:27: Race Thompson picks up his 2nd foul and is taken out for Jerome Hunter.
9:57: Khristian Lander drives baseline and drops off the pass to Race Thompson streaking down the lane and finishes with a two-hand slam. IU leads 22-17.
11:47: Fast break started by Jerome Hunter and finds Trey Galloway for the and-one layup. Galloway will go to the line after the TV timeout...Galloway converts the 3-point play.
12:42: Khristian Lander checks into the game for Rob Phinisee and immedietly makes mid-range jumper off the curl.
