IU senior dies in Monday car crash on I-65 

 

Nicole Watson, 22, was killed in a crash on I-65 on Monday involving a wrong way driver, according to a press release from the Lebanon Police Department. 

Lebanon police were notified of a driver going south in the northbound lane around 6:53 p.m. After they were initially dispatched, they were told of the head-on collision. Watson, who was driving a Saturn Ion, was struck head on by a man in a GMC Terrain. The person driving the wrong way was identified as Bill Rainwater, 83, of Indianapolis.

Watson was announced dead on the scene by the Boone County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the press release.

Watson was a senior in the Kelley School of Business, according to her LinkedIn. She was on the way to visit friends at Purdue when the accident occurred, according to a statement from her parents shared with FOX59.
