Indiana women’s basketball will no longer face Michigan State on Thursday in East Lansing, Michigan, due to unspecified COVID-19 concerns within the Spartans’ program, according to a press release.
The postponement came as a mutual decision for the health and safety of the participants, the release said. Both programs are working with the Big Ten to possibly reschedule.
This marks the second postponed game this week for IU after Monday’s game against Rutgers was also postponed. Michigan State has continued to struggle with COVID-19 complications and is now missing its third straight contest following postponed games against Illinois and Michigan.
The Hoosiers will now wait until Jan. 24 to get back on the court when they face off against No. 21 Northwestern at 12 p.m. in Evanston, Illinois.
