The Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house was added to IU’s quarantine list Saturday due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the fraternity.

IU has not provided specific data on cases in each greek house like it did early in the fall semester.

This is the house’s second quarantine order of the pandemic and it is the third house directed to quarantine during the spring semester.

Phi Kappa Psi and Evans Scholars are the only two houses in quarantine as of Sunday. Evans Scholars has been in quarantine for about two weeks.

Phi Kappa Psi, Evans Scholars and Beta Sigma Psi are the only houses to quarantine multiple times since the start of the school year.

IU reported a 0.7% positivity rate in mitigation testing for live-in greek life students in last week’s COVID-19 dashboard update. That was the highest positivity rate from the main four groups tested — live-in greek-life students, live-out greek-life students, residence hall students and all other off campus students.
