Former IU women’s basketball senior guard Jaelynn Penn announced Friday afternoon she will transfer to University of California, Los Angeles for her last year of eligibility, according to an Instagram post.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native averaged 9.5 points per game this season as a starting guard. She added 4.9 rebounds per game on average and had accumulated 26 assists. Penn was shooting 38% from the field and 28% from the arc this season before she opted out.
Penn played her last game as a Hoosier Jan. 31 when IU beat Michigan State 79-67. Penn scored 13 points.
Penn announced that she was leaving IU on March 31 in another Instagram post, but did not mention then which school she would transfer to.
