Northwestern junior forward Miller Kopp announced his commitment to the IU men’s basketball program Tuesday in a tweet:
“Next chapter... Hoosier Nation what’s good!!!” the tweet read.
This decision comes almost a month after Kopp entered the transfer portal March 24. He led Northwestern in scoring during the 2019-20 season with 13.1 points per game and averaged 11.3 points this past season, shooting 33% from 3-point range.
In IU’s 74-67 loss to Northwestern last season on Dec. 23, 2020, Kopp scored 13 points while shooting 83% from the field.
Kopp is the second player to commit to the Hoosiers from the transfer portal after University of Pittsburgh transfer Xavier Johnson did April 7.
