Indiana men’s soccer has the chance to extend its regular season Big Ten championship streak to four when it travels to Maryland for its season finale.

Indiana sits atop the Big Ten standings alongside Penn State with 15 points. Maryland is second with 13 points and could claim the regular-season title with a win if Penn State loses to Wisconsin.

Indiana can secure the title with a win over Maryland. Even if Penn State beats Wisconsin on Sunday, Indiana holds the tiebreaker after beating Penn State earlier in the season.

Indiana enters the weekend with a 6-3-7 all-time record against Maryland with two losses being away games. Indiana has won the past two matchups, and junior forward Victor Bezerra scored both goals in the 2-0 win in the 2020-21 season.

Both teams are ranked in the top 25 in the NCAA United Soccer Coaches’ poll and by Top Drawer Soccer. Indiana is ranked at No. 22 and No. 13 in the polls, respectively, while Maryland is No. 7 and No. 14.

This season, the Hoosiers have not lost an away game, and the Terrapins have not lost a game at home.

The match will be broadcast at 1 p.m. Sunday on Big Ten Network.
