Brent Terhune, a stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster, will perform at the Comedy Attic this weekend. Terhune will perform at 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 14-15. IU student tickets are $15 and general admission tickets are $18. Both can be purchased online.
Terhune, an Indianapolis native, began performing stand-up at 16 years old. His 2015 comedy album, titled “Mr. Turkey,” hit No. 1 on iTunes.
Terhune currently writes for “The Bob & Tom Radio Show” and co-hosts podcast “The Interweb Podshow.” He created, wrote and illustrated a comic strip known as the “Uncle Frank” comic strip, and has performed at the Iowa Comedy Festival, Gilda’s Laugh Fest, the Cleveland Comedy Festival and others.
The Comedy Attic describes Terhune’s comedy as unique — it’s referred to as being laid-back, while still being “absurd, relevant and funny.” According to the Comedy Attic’s website, Terhune’s routine will include jokes about “the everyday struggles of being a redhead, life as a college student and radio DJ (and) his off-the-wall Uncle Frank and family.”
