No. 6 Indiana women’s basketball’s game against Illinois, originally scheduled for Thursday in Bloomington, was postponed due to health and safety protocols within Illinois’ program, according to a release Monday.
Both teams and the Big Ten conference will work together to reschedule the game to a later date. If the game cannot be rescheduled, it will be declared a no contest.
Indiana’s second game against Illinois in Champaign, Illinois, was also rescheduled, Indiana announced Monday. The game will take place Feb. 9, a day earlier than originally scheduled.
Thursday’s game is Indiana’s third game in a row and fifth game overall this season to be postponed or canceled due to COVID-19. Indiana’s next scheduled game is against No. 7 Michigan on Jan. 31 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
