This Valentine’s Day, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater will host a limited-run screening of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” at 7:30 p.m.
“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” tells the story of Clementine, portrayed by Kate Winslet, who undergoes a procedure to erase memories of her former boyfriend Joel after their breakup. Joel, played by Jim Carrey, undergoes the same procedure after discovering Clementine’s plan and slowly starts to forget the woman he loved.
Directed by former music video director Michel Gondry, the film explores the intricacy of love and loss. The 2005 Academy Award winner for best original screenplay features a few other big Hollywood names, including Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst and Elijah Wood.
Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for all other attendees.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for this general-seating show. The film is rated R.
