Severe thunderstorms are predicted from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday night. The entire state of Indiana is expected to get thunderstorms, but the more serious weather is predicted to affect most of the central and southwest parts of the state. Hail, wind, tornadoes and flooding are all possible, but high speed winds and tornadoes are most likely, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather is classified as an enhanced risk, a level 3 on a 5 point scale, which indicates a possibility of tornadoes and multiple severe storms. The storm may cause power outages and property damage.

The National Weather Service urges citizens to use various resources to receive weather warnings and to not rely on sirens. In the event of a tornado warning, people should seek shelter immediately.
