A rape was reported to have occurred on Sept. 23 at Briscoe Quadrangle according to the IU Police Department log.
The incident was reported anonymously to IUPD the following day. According to a statement from IUPD Deputy Chief Shannon Bunger, the victim returned to the residence hall with a person who later assaulted them in the accused person’s room.
The person who reported the assault did not wish to be contacted by IUPD, and the case is now inactive, Bunger said.
