Indiana basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was selected as the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year.

Jackson-Davis averaged 18.3 points on nearly 59% shooting and 8.1 rebounds per game in the 2021-22 season. He earned second-team all-conference honors his junior year and third-team honors his sophomore and freshman years.

Jackson-Davis joined Purdue’s Zach Edey and Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson as the only unanimous all-conference selections. The senior standout was the only player from Indiana to earn preseason honors.

On the Indiana basketball all-time leaderboard, Jackson-Davis currently stands fifteenth in total points, ninth in rebounds and seventh in blocks and field goal percentage. If he duplicates or exceeds his point total from last year, Jackson-Davis will finish his career top-three on the program’s all-time scoring list.

Jackson-Davis' other preseason honors include All-American selections by Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, College Hoops Today and The Almanac.
