Indiana men’s basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis earned his second preseason honor of the month in a selection to the CBS Sports Preseason All-American second team. He was also named Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year when the conference announced its awards Oct. 6. Jackson-Davis continues to add to an already-lengthy list of 2022-23 accolades, including Preseason All-American honors from Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, College Hoops Today and The Almanac.

The star forward led the Hoosiers with 18.3 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game and 59% shooting from the field last season. He currently ranks 15th in scoring with 1,565 points and ninth in rebounds with 797 on the Indiana program all-time leaderboard.
Opponents joining Jackson-Davis on CBS Sports’ second team include Michigan junior Hunter Dickinson and University of North Carolina junior Caleb Love. North Carolina senior Armando Bacot was awarded first-team honors, and Purdue junior Zach Edey cracked the third team.
Indiana basketball will tip off its season in an exhibition game against Marian University at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
