Eskenazi Museum of Art to present mini tour of ancient ceramic vessel

The Eskenazi Museum of Art will offer a mini tour of “Heracles wrestling Triton,” a Greek water carrier crafted over 2,500 years ago, 11-11:30 a.m. Jan. 28.  

The tour will include a 30-minute conversation with a museum guide about the ancient ceramic vessel with details of Heracles wrestling the sea god Triton. Registration for the tour is required. RSVP here to guarantee attendance.

Other similar tours include the Highlights Tour 2-3 p.m. Jan 28, Mini Tour: Zoomorphic Beings from Around the World 11-11:30 a.m. Feb. 11, Tour: Portrait Paintings in European and American Art, Medieval-1900 1-2 p.m. Feb. 11 and Date Night Tour 5:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 11. Registration is required for all events. 

The Eskenazi Museum of Art is located at 1133 E. Seventh St. Admission to the museum is free, and more information about the museum can be found here. Any personal belongings should be stored away during gallery visits. Storage lockers, coat check and restrooms are in the Welcome Center.
