Indiana men’s basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was added to the United States Basketball Writers Association Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List on Thursday, according to an IU Athletics release.
Jackson-Davis was one of 50 players added to the list for the award, which is given annually to college basketball’s best player. The USBWA also gives out awards to the coach of the year and freshman of the year for both men’s and women’s basketball.
Jackson-Davis is averaging 17.4 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game, both leading the Hoosiers, while his 2.9 blocks per game is the best in the Big Ten.
The Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List nod is another honor to add to a growing list for Jackson-Davis. The senior was also added to the Wooden Award Midseason Top-25, garnered multiple preseason All-American honors and was picked as the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year.
Jackson-Davis is one of six Big Ten players on the list, including Purdue’s junior center Zach Edey and senior guard Terrence Shannon Jr. of Illinois.
