Indiana men’s basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis earned Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List honors, the publication announced Thursday.
The All-American broke the Indiana men’s basketball all-time blocks record Wednesday night, surpassing Jeff Newton’s mark of 228 with 233 career rejections.
Jackson-Davis is averaging 10.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game and 13.5 rebounds and 3.9 blocks in conference play this season. After the 2021-22 season, Jackson-Davis was named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team.
Purdue junior center Zach Edey, Northwestern senior guard Chase Audige and Rutgers graduate guard Caleb McConnell represented the rest of the Big Ten Conference on the 15-person list.
