The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act permits CAMT to collect data on rape, fondling, stalking, domestic violence and dating violence for universities that have financial aid programs. Universities must make information regarding sexual assaults and domestic violence publicly available.
According to the Herald Times, CAMT has compiled sexual assault numbers for over 750 universities in the country from 2018-2020, including IU. It includes details about how each university handles and improves safety when it comes to investigative procedures, prevention efforts, survivor support and accessibility.
