Indiana men’s basketball senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was named one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Player of the Year award, the publication announced Friday.
The Naismith semifinalist nomination marks Jackson-Davis' seventh recognition this week. He was named Big Ten Player of the Week, a First-Team All-American by Sporting News and The Field of 68, a finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year award, the Lute Olson Player of the Year award and to the All-Big Ten first team.
Jackson-Davis averaged 20.5 points, 11 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.8 blocks during the regular season — all career highs. He will finish his time at Indiana as the Hoosiers’ all-time leader in rebounds and blocks and will likely end up third on the scoring leaderboard.
Indiana faces Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals Friday night following the conclusion of the Northwestern-Penn State matchup at 5:30 p.m. CT.
