A flood watch is in effect in central Indiana, including Bloomington, until Saturday morning due to excessive rainfall, which can cause flooding of rivers, creeks and streets, according to the National Weather Service.
According to the City of Bloomington, there are no road closures due to flooding as of 5:27 p.m. Friday.
A wind advisory will be in effect in central Indiana, including Monroe County, from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Wind gusts may blow away unsecure objects and tree limbs, which may result in power outages, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service expects heavy rainfall and localized flooding Friday across parts of central Indiana, including Bloomington, and wind gusts over 45 mph are possible Saturday.
The National Weather Service warns individuals to secure outdoor objects and drive with caution.
