UPDATE: The race has been delayed by one hour.
The women’s Little 500 race is expected to run as scheduled Friday despite the rain, Emily Carrico, the Little 500 race director said.
“Despite the rain this morning, we are expecting a drier, on-time start and a fast track today (the track loves the rain),” Carrico said in an email to riders this morning. “No delays or cancellations are anticipated.”
The women’s race starts at 4 p.m. today at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The men’s edition of the Little 500 will start at 2 p.m. Saturday in the same venue.
