Indiana football gained a 2024 commitment from five-star long snapper Alan Soukup Wednesday afternoon, per his announcement on Twitter.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 195-pound, long snapper from Phoenix, Arizona is ranked as the top long snapper in the nation according to Kohl’s Kicking. Soukup is a dual-sport athlete at Pinnacle High School, playing basketball as well as tight end, wide receiver and long snapper on the football team.

Soukup fielded offers from some of the top Power 5 programs in the country, including his hometown University of Arizona, Oklahoma University and the University of Southern California, among others.

The third Hoosier commit in three days, Soukup became the 13th member of Indiana’s 2024 recruiting class, as well as the first on special teams. With current Indiana long snapper Sean Wracher graduating after the 2023 season, Soukup has a chance to become the day one starter upon his arrival in Bloomington.
