Indiana volleyball junior setter Camryn Haworth was one of 15 players selected to the 2023 Preseason All-Big Ten Volleyball Team, the league office announced Friday. Haworth is one of the team’s three setters and the first Hoosier named to this list since Ashley Benson in 2010.

Haworth earned All-Big Ten First Team honors this past season in Bloomington, tallying the most service aces in the conference with 49, to go along with 1,111 assists, 290 digs, 127 kills and 56 blocks total. In mid-November last year, the then-sophomore recorded the program’s first triple-double since 2001, posting 37 assists, 11 digs and 10 kills in the team’s five-set win.

Ranked 11th all-time in assists within the program, Haworth was named to the 2023 United States Collegiate National Team in the offseason alongside Indiana senior outside hitter Morgan Geddes, per an IU Athletics release. On August 1, Haworth and senior outside hitter Grae Gosnell will speak at the second annual Big Ten Volleyball Media Days in Chicago.

Ahead of the upcoming media days, the Big Ten preseason poll — selected by the conference’s coaches — was released Friday. Wisconsin, which has won the past four regular-season league titles, is the 2023 favorite. Indiana was picked eighth, the program’s highest selection in the 14-team preseason poll since its 2014 inception, per release.

The Hoosiers begin their season in Bloomington at 7 p.m. EST Friday, August 25 versus the University of New Hampshire. Season tickets and single-match tickets can be bought here.
