Goalkeeper Roman Celentano, who played for Indiana men’s soccer from 2019 to 2021, signed an extension with FC Cincinnati Friday.

The extension extends Celentano’s contract through the 2027 season.

He was the second pick of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft after becoming the first player in Big Ten’s history to win the conference’s Goalkeeper of the Year award twice, doing so in consecutive years 2020 and 2021.

At FC Cincinnati, he’s already become the all-time leader in saves (158) and clean sheets (15) for the team in just two years of playing professionally.

In his 56 starts, including all competitions, FC Cincinnati holds a 29-9-18 record. This season, Celentano is tied for second in most clean sheets in MLS with 10.
