Ben Wasserman, an NYC-based comedian, is performing Live After Death, a “part comedy, part group therapy” show, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Allen Funeral Home and Crematory in the southern side of Bloomington. The comic has been touring funeral homes and cemeteries since September, joking about death.
This interactive show, featuring dancing, juggling and a séance, originated after Wasserman’s own losses since seven of his loved ones passed away in the span of three years.
Audience members are invited into a conversation about death and loss, including the humor and sadness of it all.
Wasserman has been named one of 10 comedians who make grief funny in a Paste Magazine article and has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The Guardian.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., and tickets are available for $15.
