The Far Side, a local house show venue that emerged in August of this year, will host live music performances and costume parties two nights in a row Oct. 27 and 28.
On Friday, Oct. 27, Bloomington bands Graze, Cone and Mycota will take the basement floor for a night full of music. The following night on Oct. 28, SYZYGY, Purple Hearse and Wasted Potential will close out the lively weekend at The Far Side.
The Far Side is located at 1302 N. Woodburn Ave., and has quickly become a favorite venue for students involved in the music scene due to its colorfully-lit basement and retro TV display in the corner. The backyard usually has a lit fire pit where show-goers can chat and keep warm after a performance.
These will be the fifth and sixth shows The Far Side has hosted this year. Before August, The Far Side was known as The Orion, and was one of the most popular house show venues in Bloomington.
For both shows, the doors open at 7:30 p.m., and cover is $7.
