The Bloomington Alternative Media Festival will have their annual festival celebrating independent publishing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Harmony School. The festival is made up of local artists and will feature comics, books and zines.
BAMF is known for its zines — short for “fanzine” — which are small collections of independent work that circulate locally. The artists showcased at the festival publish their own work and the festival provides a space for all writers, artists and other exhibitors to trade and sell their work.
The venue requires masks for entry. A full list of the artists tabling BAMF can be found on the BAMF website.
The event is raising money for the Bloomington Anarchist Black Cross, a group that supports prisoners through letter-writing nights, solidarity events and book and financial donations. Those interested in donating to BAMF to help put on the event or the Bloomington ABC can do so through the BAMF website.
