Then-No. 14 Indiana women’s basketball took on No. 3 Iowa in primetime Jan. 13, but it was blown out by 27 points on the road. While going 3-0 in the two subsequent weeks, the Hoosiers climbed from No. 16 to No. 14 and now to No. 10, re-entering the AP Poll Top-10 on Monday.
Indiana steamrolled Northwestern on Jan. 28, cruising to a 100-59 victory inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Graduate student forward Mackenzie Holmes led the Hoosiers in scoring, pouring in 27 points while going nine-of-14 from the field. Her performance marked her 50th career 20-point performance alongside her fourth double-double of the season.
A pair of other Big Ten squads are ranked in the Top-10 — No. 3 Iowa and No. 8 Ohio State.
The Hoosiers will travel to Value City Arena in Columbus to take on the Buckeyes on Sunday in the lone scheduled matchup between the two this season.
The Hawkeyes will be in Bloomington on Feb. 22 to take on the Hoosiers in their final scheduled meeting of the season.
Senior guard Sydney Parrish remains sidelined, dealing with an injured right foot. She sported a walking boot and crutches Sunday as her timeline for return remains unknown. Indiana head coach Teri Moren explained Jan. 26 that Parrish’s status will be updated on a game-to-game basis.
Before the Top-10 showdown Sunday, Indiana will go on the road to take on Maryland at 7 p.m. Wednesday inside the XFINITY Center in College Park. The contest will stream live on Peacock.
