Coming off a week-long break, No. 14 Indiana women’s basketball will host Northwestern at 2 p.m. Sunday. However, they’ll be doing so without senior guard Sydney Parrish.

Parrish missed the Hoosiers’ contest with Purdue on Jan. 21 after being listed as questionable in the pregame availability report. She later emerged for warmups with a boot on her lower right leg while using crutches to maneuver.

"She’s dealing with a foot injury,” Indiana head coach Teri Moren said Friday. “She’s out indefinitely. Her status is just going to be updated game to game.”

In Parrish’s absence against the Boilermakers, senior guard Chloe Moore-McNeil and fifth-year guard Sara Scalia scored 20 points a piece to lead the Hoosiers to a 74-68 victory.

Sunday will mark Parrish’s second missed contest of her Indiana career, playing in each of the Hoosiers 49 games since her arrival ahead of the 2022-23 season. She averages 10.8 points per game this season while also hauling in 5.8 rebounds.

Although Indiana pulled through with a victory over Purdue, it may be without its senior leader for the foreseeable future. The Hoosiers have a pair of ranked teams remaining on their schedule — No. 5 Iowa and No. 12 Ohio State.
