Soma Coffeehouse and Juice Bar East is hosting a “World Coffee Tasting” event for customers to try coffees from around the world. The event will take place from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on March 5.
With three different locations in Bloomington, Soma Coffeehouse and Juice Bar has been a place for students, professors and locals in the community to drink coffee while experiencing one of the many local businesses the city has to offer. According to Soma’s website, their mission is to connect with people in the community who also enjoy drinking coffee.
In co-sponsorship with the IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and Soma, The World Coffee Tasting event will give people the opportunity to try out different coffee flavors they might have never thought to give a chance before. Some of the coffee flavors being presented come from different Mexican, Senegalese and Sámi traditions. They are called café de olla (Mexican), café touba (Senegalese) and kaffeost (Sámi).
The event is free for anyone to attend.
