Indiana men’s basketball fifth-year senior forward Anthony Walker suffered a right knee injury at the 16:32 mark of the second half at Minnesota on Wednesday night. He was assisted off the court and was unable to put weight on his injured leg.

Walker, who spent his previous four years at the University of Miami, had 6 points, one rebound and one assist in 14 minutes prior to leaving the game. He averaged 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 28 appearances this season.

Walker’s best game with the Hoosiers came on Dec. 19 against Morehead State University. Walker accumulated season highs of 18 points and nine rebounds in an Indiana 15-point comeback win.

Walker’s status for the remainder of the game is unknown. Senior guard Anthony Leal replaced Walker after the injury.

Indiana head coach Mike Woodson said there is no update on Walker yet, but he will be evaluated tomorrow.
