Indiana men’s basketball landed a commitment from 2024 5-star forward Bryson Tucker on Thursday, he announced on Instagram. Tucker is ranked 20th in the 247sports composite rankings.
The 6-foot-6 wing from Baltimore chose the Hoosiers over several programs including Michigan State and the University of Kansas. He was previously considering a professional route through the G League Ignite, but the NBA announced March 21 the Ignite program was being scrapped following the 2023-24 season.
Indiana first offered Tucker a scholarship March 1, 2022. His recruitment was up-and-down before the announcement of the Ignite’s demise. Tucker unofficially visited IU-Bloomington on March 26.
Tucker is Indiana’s only commitment in the 2024 recruiting class. Liam McNeeley, another 5-star wing, had signed with Indiana but requested his release March 7.
Tucker fills one of seven available scholarships for Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers.
