Indiana football gains a pair of commitments, loses two more

Indiana football’s 2025 recruiting class has seen a steady rise in both number of commitments and national rankings this summer, but it’s hit a minor bump in the road of late.

The Hoosiers lost a pair of 3-star commits last week, as linebacker Travares Daniels II decommitted June 10 and cornerback Chris McCorkle III followed suit Sunday. Daniels and McCorkle each initially committed to Indiana in April and visited for junior day May 31 before rescinding their verbal pledges.

Still, Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff have kept adding.

Indiana secured another piece to its 2025 puzzle Monday, as linebacker Jamari Farmer announced his verbal commitment via X. The 6-foot, 218-pound Farmer, who hails from Mooresville, North Carolina, is unrated by 247sports but had offers from the University of Cincinnati and East Carolina University, among several others.

On June 12, the Hoosiers landed a commitment from Bloomington High School South rising senior Bryce Taylor, who is rated as the No. 24 kicker in the class of 2025 by Kohl’s Kicking. Taylor chose Indiana over offers from the Air Force Academy and Army West Point.

The Hoosiers’ 2025 recruiting class has 11 commitments — led by 4-star safety Byron Baldwin — and is currently ranked No. 53 nationally after being as high as No. 25 earlier this month.
