Indiana track and field earns individual honors at National Outdoor Championships

Indiana track and field sent four Hoosiers from June 5-8 to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. 

On Wednesday, in the men’s hammer throw, junior Sean Mockler finished 15th with a toss of 67.92 meters, earning second-team All-American honors.  

Junior Tyler Carrel placed 22nd in the men’s pole vault, clearing 5.07 meters. Carrel received honorable mention accolades in the event in his second outdoor nationals appearance.  

In the men’s 10,000-meter, graduate student Skylar Stidam finished 23rd in 30:23.47, earning an honorable mention. 

On Friday, junior Camden Marshall placed ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:04.27 and received second-team All-American honors. He ends his season with two new school records in the indoor mile and the outdoor 800. 

Indiana wraps up its 2024 outdoor season with three new school records in total and numerous individual titles.
