Indiana men’s basketball has promoted Adam Howard to the role of Assistant Director of Recruiting and Operations, according to an IU Athletics press release Wednesday.

Howard was a student manager for the Hoosiers’ men’s basketball program from 2018-22 before becoming a graduate manager from 2022-24. In his new role, Howard will help oversee the Hoosiers’ process of identifying and recruiting new players to the program.

Indiana head coach Mike Woodson explained Howard’s promotion in an official statement in the release.

“Adam comes from a great basketball pedigree,” Woodson said. “His father, Todd, is a legendary coach in this state. Adam has been a great asset for us in recruiting and we are excited to keep him on our staff as we continue to push this program further.”

The Hoosiers’ recruiting staff is currently led by coordinator Jordan Hulls and analyst Mike Stump. Woodson’s staff is filled out by associate head coaches Kenya Hunter and Yasir Rosemond and assistant Brian Walsh.

Indiana is in the midst of summer practices and will begin the 2024-25 season in late October.
