Indiana volleyball alumna Kaley Rammelsberg signed as a free agent with the Columbus Fury, one of the seven teams a part of the Pro Volleyball Federation, on July 10, the Fury announced on X.
Rammelsberg was a dominant middle during her stint with the Hoosiers, as she hit .365 and earned 110 blocks during her final season as a graduate student in 2023. She was also named to the All-Big Ten second team during the campaign.
“I look forward to playing alongside some of the best players in the world while being coached at the highest level,” Rammelsburg said in the Fury’s press release.
This will be Rammelsburg’s second season playing professional volleyball, but first time playing in the Pro Volleyball Federation, as she signed with LiigaPloki in Finland this past spring for her first season.
Fury head coach Ángel Pérez had high praise for Rammelsburg.
“She had an amazing season at Indiana in 2023 and had a great first professional season overseas,” Pérez said in the release “We are excited to have a local talent, Kaley is the perfect fit.”
Last year, the Fury tied for the worst record during the 2024 season, going 8-16 and missing out on the playoffs.
