Indiana volleyball head coach Steve Aird named three captains for the 2024 season on Aug. 13 — Camryn Haworth, Kenzie Daffinee and Delaynie Maple. Both Haworth and Daffinee have stuck with the Hoosiers for four years, while Maple brings four years of experience from her time at the University of Southern California beach volleyball team.
Haworth, who is heading into her senior season, was a unanimous All-Big Ten selection last year for the Hoosiers. She also tallied 1,247 assists and led the NCAA in service aces last season with 73.
Senior outside hitter Daffinee is best known as a serving specialist for Indiana. She has a combined 31 service aces over the past two seasons for the team.
The final captain, Maple, is a graduate student from USC, where she was a part of a phenomenal four-year run for the Women of Troy. She led the Trojans to four-straight NCAA beach volleyball championships during her time with USC. This will be Maple’s first season playing indoor volleyball at the collegiate level. She will be a defensive specialist for Indiana.
The Hoosiers kick off the season Aug. 30, when they will compete in the Kennesaw State Invitational in Kennesaw, Georgia.
