“Street Homelessness is at a crisis level in our community. It affects us all, and the rise in street homelessness is a challenge we must face together. Each week, we are moved by the stories of those living in crisis, the exhaustion of our service providers, and the concern of businesses and residents,” says Mayor Kerry Thomson. “This press conference is an opportunity to share our progress and plans and to highlight the emergency housing action plan created by service providers. Their dedication and compassion are vital as we strive for sustainable solutions.”
