Curt Miller, former Indiana women’s basketball head coach from 2012-2014, and the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks agreed to part ways Tuesday according to a release.

Miller served as the Sparks’ head coach over the past two seasons and ended his tenure with a 25-55 overall record. The Sparks’ season ended Sept. 19, finishing with an 8-32 record.

“I want to thank the entire Sparks organization for the opportunity to lead and help rebuild the franchise,” Miller said in the release. “I am proud of the culture created in our locker room and strongly believe the roots have been established for a bright future. The team is now positioned for success, and I wish the players the best heading into the 2025 season.”

Miller spent two seasons at the helm in Bloomington, guiding the Hoosiers to a 32-32 record. In his final season, 2013-14, Indiana finished 21-13 and reached the WNIT quarterfinal.

Miller resigned from Indiana in July 2014, citing personal health and family reasons for his departure.

Miller then went on to become an assistant coach with the Sparks for the 2015 season before he spent seven seasons as the Connecticut Sun’s head coach.

In response to Miller abruptly leaving Bloomington, Indiana hired Teri Moren on Aug. 9, 2014, and it hasn’t looked back since. Moren enters her 11th season at the helm with a 226-99 record, leading the Hoosiers to six NCAA Tournament appearances and their first Big Ten championship in the 2022-23 season since 1983.

The Hoosiers will begin their season Nov. 4 against Brown University inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
