IU alumnus and Indiana native Peyton Womock will perform a live listening room experience for the public at 7:00 p.m. Oct. 30 at Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington.

This live listening room experience is a fusion of various artistic expressions. These range from rap verses, dance routines, a choir, live saxophone and strings and impromptu live art. The audience will be involved in a creative adventure that combines pop, hip-hop, R&B, funk, and smooth jazz, according to the Buskirk-Chumley website .

This blend of music, part of what Womock is known for, will be present during his saxophone performances. His performance includes music and collaborations that reflect Bloomington's creative culture, enabling audiences to interact with a wide range of musical styles.

The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, where Womock received his degree in music technology, has also influenced his live performances. He has collaborated with businesses like Shape Your Own Sound, a French firm that creates a personalized saxophone mouthpiece .

Womock's passion for combining music with technology and design to reach people is reflected in these collaborations. He has demonstrated his versatility as a musician and a digital producer by creating music experiences that connect with audiences outside of the concert stage, such as by contributing soundtracks for brand ads and performing for Genshin Impact at NYC Comic Con. Additionally, he collaborated with TELFAR Global, a Black-owned fashion label renowned for its inclusive, gender-neutral styles. Womock provided music for TELFAR's live price drop event, which gave the interactive shopping experience a more exciting feel.

Womock grew up around music. His father was a trombone player with the critically recognized  IU Soul Revue, America's first collegiate Black popular music ensemble.

The Tickets are $10 and a $1 donation from each ticket will go to Indiana University's African American Arts Institute's Camp S.O.U.L., a summer camp that develops young musicians in a setting that honors African American musical traditions

Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at Buskirk Chumley Theatre. More information can be found at the theatre’s website.
