Indiana men’s basketball’s 2025 recruiting class lost another potential piece Wednesday.
Eric Reibe, a 4-star center rated as the No. 27 overall senior nationally by 247Sports, committed to the University of Connecticut on a 247Sports live stream.
The 7-foot, 235-pound Reibe chose the Huskies over Indiana, the University of Kansas, Creighton University and the University of Oregon. Reibe is the No. 4 center in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports.
Reibe took an official visit to Bloomington on Sept. 20. The Potomac, Maryland, native would have been the Hoosiers’ second commitment in the class of 2025, joining 4-star forward Trent Sisley.
Instead, Reibe opted for UConn — much like 2024 5-star forward Liam McNeeley, who decommitted from Indiana in the spring before later choosing the Huskies.
Indiana’s 2025 recruiting class, with Sisley the lone member, ranks No. 54 nationally, according to 247Sports. The Hoosiers currently have seven roster spots available for the 2025-26 season.
