Indiana men’s basketball redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice was named to the preseason watchlist for the 2025 Bob Cousy Award on Monday.
The award honors the top point guard in Division I men’s basketball, determined by a committee of college basketball personnel. Rice was named alongside 19 other top performers.
Rice transferred to Indiana over the offseason from Washington State University, where he averaged 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists. The Columbia, South Carolina, native earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors as well as All-Pac-12 First Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman team honors.
In the Hoosiers’ charity exhibition against No. 12 University of Tennessee on Sunday, Rice finished with 20 points, two rebounds and four assists.
Rice and Indiana return to action in an exhibition against Marian University at 7 p.m. Friday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
